The Convention Center Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Directors of the City of Fort Smith and Director of Convention Center in the promotion, planning, maintenance, development and operation of the Convention Center.

The Commission consists of seven qualified electors who are appointed by the Board of Directors to serve five-year terms. The Commission meets on call.
