The following list of Codes, Ordinances and Standards represents the primary or basic list to be used when designing or constructing building projects in the City of Fort Smith. This list does not include all ordinances and standards that might affect a building project. Other standards might include but are not limited to flood prevention and protection standards, stormwater standards, water and sewer standards, utility standards, driveway standards and the Uniform Development Code. Please visit with the Building Department to gather more information about the requirements for a specific project.

Each of the following Building Construction codes includes referenced standards that are too numerous to mention here but must be used to comply with State and Local codes.
