The City of Fort Smith is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. Citizen Services plays a key role in ensuring optimal resident satisfaction.

The Call Center is available to City Utility Customers for assistance with:

  • Setting up new services,
  • Transferring services, and
  • Terminating service for water, sewer, and solid waste.
***Customers can also set up the above services online at payit.fortsmithar.gov.

Representatives are available to help with questions about Water Utilities billing, low-income assistance, and Solid Waste Services--including collection schedules. They can also connect residents with the right program or department for any other needs.

The Citizen Services does not handle emergencies. To report a water or sewer emergency, please contact System Control at 479-784-2342. System Control is available 24 hours a day.
