  • Demolitions
  • Grade and fill
  • Swimming pools
  • Signs
  • Cell towers
  • Parking lots
  • Residential fences over 6' tall
  • Retaining walls over 4' tall
  • Carports and decks

Types of Permits

There are three main types of permits that you may apply for:

  1. Singly family or duplex
  2. Tri-plex or four-plex
  3. Apartment (five units or more), commercial, or industrial

Application Process

The general process for applying for any permit is as follows:

  1. Submit a Site Plan
  2. Submit construction plans
  3. Download and complete the Building Permit Application Form
  4. Bring documents to the City Offices
  5. Pay for permit
  6. Undergo inspections
  7. Inspector completes Certificate of Occupancy

*Please note that a Certificate of Occupancy is a required part of applying for building permits.
