Thank you for your interest in becoming a registered vendor in the City of Fort Smith. We are excited about the opportunity to partner with your organization. The first step to becoming a vendor in Fort Smith is to ensure you are a licensed business. Find business resources and apply for a business license.

Vendor Self-Service (VSS)

If you are not already registered with the City, you will need to do so using the Vendor Self-Service Portal. This program provides our business partners with access to key information and business records pertaining to their vendor account. The VSS program grants online account access enabling our partners to:

• View purchase orders, invoices, and 1099 data
• Track payment processing and status
• Maintain and update general business information

Vendors should update and attach a W-9 Tax Form when completing the registration process. A copy of the W-9 Tax form can be downloaded here.

Professional Services Requirements

Pursuant to the provisions of Act 616 of the 1989 Acts of Arkansas (A.C.A. 19-11-801 and also contained within the Fort Smith Municipal Code Section 2-182) the City of Fort Smith, Arkansas hereby provides notice that the City will receive STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE DATA from all persons or firms who desire to be considered by the City whenever the City enters into any contract for professional services throughout the year 2025. Said professional services are described as follows:

• external accounting
• legal
• financial advisory
• architectural
• consulting
• engineering
• construction management
• land surveying
• title search and insurance services
• graphic design
• advertising and video production services
• software and website development services
• land acquisition and appraisal services
• aquatic park management and marketing services
• staffing services

These services are to be provided to the City on a negotiated basis, and the City shall negotiate contracts for any other professional services when directed by state law.

Any person or firm desiring to be so considered for said professional services throughout the year 2025 should submit a STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS AND PERFORMANCE DATA to the Office of the City Clerk, located at 623 Garrison Avenue, Room 303, by mailing to P.O. Box 1908, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72902 or by emailing these documents to ajones@fortsmithar.gov (20MB max file size).

Deadline for 2025 submissions is Friday, November 15, 2024.

The City of Fort Smith accepts both hard-copy and/or digital submissions; however, interested parties must also complete and submit the Statement of Qualifications Submission Form available below:
