Fort Smith Receives $14.5 Million EPA Grant
he Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded the City of Fort Smith $14.5 million as part of a groundbreaking Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) totaling $100,000,000 to the Tri-Region Arkansas CPRG Coalition. This prestigious grant, awarded under the "Energy and Environment Innovation for the Natural State" proposal, will drive a wide array of transformative projects throughout Central Arkansas, Northwest Arkansas, and the Arkansas River Valley.

The Fort Smith Fire Department has been named a 2024 grant recipient by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®, receiving $25,313 to ensure Fort Smith is safer than ever. The grant will be used to purchase a Paratech Basic 12 Shore Trench Kit for the department and will ensure our community is better prepared for emergencies.
