The " Adopt-A-Spot" and "Adopt-A-Street" program is overseen by the City's Streets and Traffic Control Department. The program allows groups or individuals to become caretakers of public streets, rights-of-way, parking lots, parks, planters, and green areas. In return for adopting a street, the City of Fort Smith will install an Adopt-A-Spot sign. The person or organization participating in this program will be acknowledged on the sign.
