Channel 214 is the City of Fort Smith’s government access channel on local TV. It broadcasts the latest information on city events, activities, and public meetings.

Broadcasts on the channel include:

• The regular meetings of the Fort Smith Board of Directors
• Announcements for community organizations, churches, and schools
• Video programming related to City services and other promotions

Program Schedule

Announcements and video programs are split into two groupings:

• One group for all Fort Smith city government information/services
• One group for community events

The two groups air alternately through a 24-hour period.

Board of Directors Meetings

Live Broadcasts

• Regular meetings are broadcast live at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
• Meetings are rebroadcast every Thursday through Monday at 7:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m.

Meeting Agendas

• Agendas for upcoming meetings are available every Friday at 6:00 p.m.
• Agendas are shown again at 6:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. from Saturday through Tuesday
• On Tuesdays with regular meetings, the live meeting broadcast replaces the 6:00 p.m. agenda.

Submit an Announcement

Community members can submit announcements and events to be displayed on Channel 214.

• To submit, please email AccessChannel@fortsmithar.gov  or Sherri Gard by emailing sgard@fortsmithar.gov.
• The deadline to submit is two weeks before the event.
• Announcements for community organizations, churches, and schools are provided for free as a public service.

The channel is provided by Cox Communications, Inc. as part of its franchise agreement with the city.
