Internal Audit Reports
The City of Fort Smith’s internal audits provide assurance to residents that the City’s risk management, governance, and internal control processes are operating effectively. Streets
The 2021/2022 Comprehensive Plan Update is an annual report that was prepared to update the Comprehensive Plan Implementation Committee on work performed by the Streets and Traffic Control Department from June 2021 through June 2022. The Streets Department is primarily responsible for maintaining the City’s existing street and drainage infrastructure. Water Utilities and Precipitation
Consumer Confidence Water Reports are designed to inform residents about the quality of Fort Smith city water, what it means, and services the Utilities Department delivers every day. Water Watch Reports show total monthly rainfall and the effects of precipitation on Lee Creek and Lake Fort Smith. Community Development
The Community Development department develops a variety of plans and reports that detail the usage of funds and evaluate the city’s performance in addressing the city’s housing, homeless, non-homeless special needs populations, community development and economic development needs.
Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for providing the financial management of all City funds and maintaining the fiscal integrity of the City. Major activities include:
- Comprehensive financial analysis and reporting
- Managing the City's investment portfolio
- Managing the City's debt
- Payroll processing and reporting
- Preparing and monitoring the budget
- Purchasing
- Revenue management, including general and miscellaneous billing
