The 2023 Sidewalk Program includes 2.72 miles of new sidewalk construction and .95 miles of sidewalk repairs to provide a safer environment for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists in the community.

New sidewalk projects were based on input from citizens, the Board of Directors, Administration, and City staff. Citizen requests for new construction were prioritized on a rating system that considered proximity to schools, usage, existing sidewalks in the area, and constructability. These sidewalks received a grade of "good", "fair", or "poor." Only sidewalks rated as “fair” or “poor” are included on the repair list.
