Jessica Underwood joined the City Administrator’s office in October 2021 after working for the City’s Utility Department for five years.

As Executive Assistant to the City Administrator, Ms. Underwood manages the administrator’s schedule and assists with emails and phone calls. Another important responsibility includes managing the application process for the City’s Boards and Commissions and overseeing other administrative duties for the Administration Office.

As someone who loves working with the public and helping people, Jessica takes pride in serving as the City’s Chairperson to the United Way of Fort Smith organization.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. Additionally, she possesses a Green Belt certification in the Lean Six Sigma program. Jessica is a member of the Leadership Fort Smith Class of 2024 and Fort Smith Citizen Police Academy Class 51.
