Generally, all documents filed in the District Court are a matter of public record and are available for inspection through the District Court Business Office. Some documents are sealed by special court order and can not be viewed by the public, such as ACIC records and driving records.

You may contact the District Court Business Office or you the appropriate law enforcement agency. If the warrant was issued in the city division, you must contact the Fort Smith Police Department- Warrant Office. If the warrant was issued in the state division, you must contact the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Department- Warrant Office.

If the warrant was issued for failure to pay fines or failure to answer a summons, contact the District Court Business Office to find out if it may be possible to pay the warrant without being arrested or having to appear in court.  Otherwise, you must surrender to the Sebastian County Detention Center for the warrant to be served.  You will need to be prepared to post the specified bond amount or you will remain in jail until such time you are brought before a judge.
