City Administrator
Fort Smith's City Administrator is Carl Geffken, who has held the position since 2016. The City Administrator acts as the municipality’s Chief Executive Officer and oversees over 1,000 employees and a budget of nearly $300 million. Since his appointment, Mr. Geffken has streamlined the City’s budget, increased infrastructure improvements, and improved the staff’s productivity and efficiency.
