Fort Smith Transit Provides Free “RouteShout 2.0” Bus Tracking Mobile App for the City of Fort Smith Riders

Fort Smith Transit has launched a new mobile application to help riders track their buses on their smartphone or through the City of Fort Smith website on an interactive map. The RouteShout 2.0 app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android devices at no cost from the Apple Store or Google Play.

The new tool is available now to Fort Smith Transit riders. Fort Smith Transit riders will now be able to more conveniently plan trips, reduce wait times at bus stops, and be notified of any schedule or route changes in real-time wherever they happen to be through their smartphone.

In addition to being able to follow buses to see how far they are from a bus stop, riders can also use the “Locate Me” GPS function within RouteShout 2.0 to determine the closest bus stop and save favorite routes and stops for quick look-ups. When emergencies, route changes, or weather conditions occur that may affect service, riders can also subscribe to receive notifications.

Select your Transit Agency

Select ‘Fort Smith Transit Authority’ from the Arkansas list of agencies.

Find Bus Stops & Times

When you select Locate me, RouteShout utilizes GPS to find the closest stops to your current location or you can select Address to find the closest stop to your desired address.

View Mapped Stops & Routes

A map will appear to verify your location, if RouteShout has placed your location accurately, please proceed. A list of the nearest bus stops will appear. By selecting a stop, you can see upcoming inbound and outbound bus arrival times within a 2-hour time frame.

• Select Route details to view a Stop list of the bus route.
• Select Route map to view a map of the bus route.
• See all of the stops along that route by zooming in.

Mark Favorite Stops

If you use specific stops regularly, mark them as a favorite by clicking the + icon.
